The Inspirandum PRINCE2 Re-registration course gives you a great advantage when taking your exam. It gives a refresher across the whole method with special emphasis on things that have changed since you last took the exam. It also explains all of the different multiple choice question formats in the new 'objective testing' exam as well as giving you lots of advice and practices.

Those currently holding a PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification but who need to 'top it up' in the 3 to 5 year band permitted for this.

  course length

The course runs for 2 days but does require personal revision work on the first evening. The second day is an exam workshop in the morning with the one hour Re-registration exam then taking place early in the afternoon.

The course refresheshes the whole of PRINE2 and adds exam practiceand strategy advice the 7 processes Starting Up a Proejct (the pre-project preparation) Initiating a Project (planning the project in detail) Directing a Project (the work of the Project Board) Managing Stage Boundaries (the work of the Project Manager preparing for the end of a stage) Controlling a Stage (the day-to-day work of the Project Manager during a stage) Managing Product Delivery (the work of a Team Manager building the project deliverables) Closing a Project (an orderly shut down of the project)   the 7 themes Business Case (the justification for the project) Organization (the roles and responsibilities) Quality(strategic planning, the tactical down to quality criteria for individual deliverables) Plans, at project, stage and team levels and including the powerful product based approach) Risk (analysing risk, then deciding and implementing the management responses) Change (mechanisms for controlling change and dealiing with issues) Progress (monitoring progress and exercising control) exam advice and practice Explanation of the question formats The three step approach for assertion-reason questions Practice questions Exam strategy advice

  the exam

TThe PRINCE2 Re-registration exam is a one hour multiple choice paper. This is an 'open book' exam in that the PRINCE2 manual may be taken into the exam room. The exam tests whether the candidate can apply PRINCE2 and much of the paper is focused on a project scenario which is part of the question paper. There are 3 areas of questions, all of which must be attempted, and the pass mark is 55% across the whole paper (it is not necessary to pass each section). The renewed Practitioner Certificate is valid for 5 years, and to stay current it must be 'topped up' again after 3 to 5 years. Exam scripts are marked centrally and results are normally available in about 3 weeks

This guide contains considerably more information than the equivalent publication from The Stationery Office and was written by Nick Graham of Inspirandum who has personally achieved one of the highest marks ever recorded at PRINCE2 Practitioner level.
